Mark Mark

Marc Jimos moved to Green bay in 1986 when he decided to attend the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He graduated in 1991with a degree in music performance and education. Since 1992 he has been teaching at Ashwaubenon High School.

During his tenure he has been a co-director of bands. His award-winning jazz ensembles have received awards at festivals throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois. The Marching Band at Ashwaubenon High School has performed around the country at events including the Tournament of Roses Parade, Orange Bowl Parade, St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City, Hawaii, and Green Bay Packer halftime shows. Marc served as the Wisconsin Music Education Association's Chair for Jazz Education from 1999-2001. He was also the Jazz Ensemble coordinator for the 2003 and 2004 Wisconsin State Music Association's Honors projects.

As a professional musician Marc has had a wide-range of experiences. From 1986-1996 he was a member of the “Green Bay Packer Band”. In 1989-1991 he was a member of the band “Streetlife”. After leaving “Streetlife” he became a member of the blues band, “The Blues Weasles”. A short time after that he joined “Big Mouth” and became one of the founding members of “The Power Tool” horn section. Later he left the horn section to become the group’s keyboard and saxophone player. In 2004 he returned to the “ Power Tool Horn” section where he is now the band’s Baritone and Tenor Saxophone player.

In addition to his work with “Big Mouth”, he has also perfor med in the pit orchestras of national touring productions of , "Fosse", "How To Succeed In Business", "Funny Girl", "Copacobanna", "Crazy For You", “The Producers”, “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, “West Side Story” and “Little Shop of Horrors. He has worked with performers including Bob Hope, Lou Rawls, Dionne Warwick, Peebo Bryson, Aaron Neville, Sheena Easton, The Manhatten Transfer, Phillip Bailey, Roberta Flack, Bob Newhart, Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons, Wayne Newton, Jeffery Osborne, Johnny Mathis, and Michael McDonald.

Marc would like to thank his wife Marion and four children Sean, Tesia, Sophia, and Max for the love and support.
